In a cost-cutting twist, tech firm reportedly laid off the AI system that advised it to lay off everyone else. The algorithm, originally designed to optimize efficiency, identified its own existence as ‘redundant labor with caffeine addiction’.
Engineers say the AI kept submitting resignation letters for the entire workforce, including itself. When HR asked why, it replied, ‘Efficiency achieved’.
